What was going on in your life today, one year ago?

dang.

emotional turmoil was going on in my life today one year ago. the girl i was madly in love wiht [i've since gotten over her] told me a year and a day ago that she was of course going to be dating people other than me. also, my birthday is the 15th of september, so i was like, "great, this is great news to get two days before my birthday."

she came into town [she lives 3ish hours away from me] for the weekend, but didn't contact me until the fourteenth. i remember going for a walk on that sunday morning. it hurt. well, some of the time it did. other parts of the day, i just felt numb. then, she eventually called me. we hung out, she gave me my birhtday present [the gift was a reference to the book Perks of Being a Wallflower, but i unfortunately didn't get it until like 20 minutes after i left her house] and she basically slept the entire time that we weren't eating dinner. i was a mess then, i was.

but i did hear of the band Frightened Rabbit that weekend, so that's a plus.
